A tool can check a list; the certification decision is made by a human reviewer against everything the mark requires.

Bundles

Three ways to scope one review

Named by count, never by rank. More marks widen what a single review covers — the rigor behind each mark is the same.

1 mark · one review

Single Mark

One claim, certified.

Pick any one of the five marks. Scoped to your product category and SKU band, priced for exactly that — nothing bundled in that you didn't ask for.

Cosmetics? Add Cruelty-Free to any bundle.

3 marks · one reviewMost popular

Clean Label Trio

Any three marks, one review.

Any three marks reviewed together: one document set, one reviewer, one invoice. The shared evidence is what makes the per-mark price fall.

Cosmetics? Add Cruelty-Free to any bundle.

5 marks · one review

Full Five

Every mark we issue. One application, one review, one invoice.

Every claim we certify, verified against one document set in a single review — the flagship scope for multi-claim ranges.

Cosmetics? Add Cruelty-Free to any bundle.

Certified in days, not months.

Typical desk review: 5–10 business days from complete documentation.

Fee anatomy

One annual fee — here is what it is

No hidden components, no per-SKU meter running in the background. The fee is annual, per scope, and everything below is inside it.

Annual fee per scope

Your quote reflects the marks you choose, your product category and your SKU band — nothing else. No revenue or turnover component.

Unlimited SKUs within scope

Add products mid-year within your certified scope without a new application or a per-SKU fee. Line extensions don’t reopen the price.

No application fee

The application and the quote cost nothing — fees start only after you approve the quote in writing.

Included in every annual fee

Blank fee worksheet on a clipboard beside a fountain pen.
  • A certificate a buyer can check by its number or QR code
  • Mark artwork in four formats — print, digital, mono, reverse
  • Mid-year product additions within scope
  • NDA on request, before you send documents
  • A named reviewer handling your file end-to-end
How quotes are calculated

Four inputs. Nothing hidden.

Your quote is calculated from the same four things the application asks — no secret risk tiers, no algorithm you can't see.

  1. Marks selectedWhich of the five marks you apply for — or a bundle. Additional marks in the same review are priced below the first, because the document set is shared.
  2. Product categoryFood & beverage, dietary supplements, cosmetics & personal care, or ingredients & raw materials. Categories differ in how many supplier declarations one review has to cover.
  3. SKU band1–5, 6–20, 21–50 or 50+ products. Bands, not per-SKU fees — within your certified scope, SKUs are unlimited.
  4. Export marketsOptional. Where you sell shapes which labeling requirements we check your artwork against — it refines the quote, it never gates it.

What makes a quote higher

  • More marks in scope — the total rises even as the per-mark price falls
  • A larger SKU band (21–50 or 50+)
  • Categories with long ingredient supplier chains — more declarations to review
  • Several export markets with different labeling rules

What makes a quote lower

  • One mark in one product category
  • A small SKU band (1–5)
  • Complete documentation at application — no re-review rounds
  • Bundling marks into one review instead of certifying each separately

  1. The scope lineMarks, category and SKU band — the three inputs that move the figure. Nothing else does: no revenue component, no per-SKU meter.
  2. One annual figureA single fixed figure for the whole scope. The application and the quote themselves cost nothing.
  3. The anatomyEvery line itemized. Additional marks in the same review are priced below the first, because the document set is shared.
  4. The validity windowThirty days to decide, in writing, at your pace. No follow-up pressure — an unapproved quote simply expires.

FAQ

Pricing questions, answered plainly

What does certification cost?

Your quote is scoped to you: one annual fee built from the marks you choose, your product category and your SKU band. Bundles carry one fee for the whole review, and each additional mark costs less than the first because the document set is shared. The quote itself carries no obligation.

Why is there no public price list?

Because the same mark costs genuinely different amounts to certify at different scopes — a 3-SKU supplement line and a 60-SKU food range are not the same review. A matrix wide enough to cover every case would either overcharge small producers or hide the real price in fine print. Instead we publish the four inputs that move a quote, and the application turns those inputs into your exact figure — with nothing payable at that point.

How is the quote produced?

Your quote is scoped to the products you list — one fixed annual figure for that scope, in writing, and not a sales meeting. Certification itself is different: every certificate rests on a human desk review of your documents, formulations and supplier declarations.

What does the annual fee include?

One annual fee per scope covers the desk review, your certificate with its own number and QR code so any buyer can check it, mark artwork in four formats (print, digital, mono and reverse), mid-year product additions within your certified scope, an NDA on request, and a named reviewer who handles your file end-to-end. There is no application fee and no per-SKU charge.

What does renewal cost?

Renewal is the same annual fee stated in your quote, re-confirmed each year for the same scope — no new application fee. If your scope grows (new marks, a larger SKU band, a new category), we re-quote the difference before anything is payable, the same way as your first quote.

Is a bundle cheaper than five separate certifications?

In review terms, structurally yes: one application, one document set, one review and one invoice replace five of each, and each additional mark in the same review is priced below the first. For context, where certifiers publish rates (published rates, 2026): Vegan Action lists a $100 application fee plus $150–600 per year for smaller revenue bands, GFCO publishes an itemized per-facility fee schedule, and Leaping Bunny certification is free with a separately paid logo license. We quote a bundle as one figure, so you can compare it directly against certifying each claim separately.

Are you ISO accredited?

V-Cert is an independent certification body and is not ISO/IEC 17065 accredited. What each mark requires and the rules for granting, suspending and withdrawing certificates are published, and every certificate is verifiable by QR code.

What are the payment terms and currencies?

Quotes are issued in US dollars, with an indicative conversion alongside where useful. Payment is by bank wire or card, invoiced only after you approve your quote, then annually at renewal. We take no pre-payments and hold no deposits — if we can't certify your scope, we tell you before any invoice is raised.

Competitor figures are each certifier’s own published rates, checked 2 July 2026. Per-mark cost guides: vegan · vegetarian · gluten-free · non-GMO.
